Versar Inc. is seeking a GIS Enterprise Data Manager for our Environmental & Sustainable Infrastructure Business Area. This position will report directly to the Digital Transformation and Geospatial Service Line Leader and support internal data workflows and services, increase efficiencies, and reinforce the foundation for innovation and advancement for our spatial data program. The position requires skills and services that will enable our customers the ability to dynamically interact with data and products throughout various stages project lifecycles. Primary work location is flexible with office, hybrid, or telework options.

The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and experience to work with an established ESRI GIS Enterprise system, manage SDE data, configure and adapt the Enterprise solution to meet program needs, have experience with Portal and ArcGIS Online web-mapping solutions, and web programming and development. Specific tasks include but are not limited to supporting data management objectives such as data consolidation and centralization, quality control and assurance, versioning, and automation of tasks/workflows. The candidate will also need to demonstrate the ability to create products that allow for data and information to be disseminated and visualized using both proprietary and non-proprietary open-source software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Web AppBuilder, and ArcGIS Online experience
• Design, build, maintain, and administer Enterprise databases
• Data management and maintenance and troubleshooting
• GIS metadata, semantics, and ontology
• QA/QC GIS data, configure, and administer web-based GIS solutions
• ESRI and Open-Source GIS application development and programming
• Spatial and non-spatial database linkages, spatial queries, and analytics
• Web-mapping solutions for internal and external users
• Independently analyze problems and provide technical solutions
• Leverage open-source programs, platforms, and tools to accomplish program and project objectives
• Provide technical guidance and information to end users

Requirements:

• BS/BA in geography, geographic information systems, information technologies, engineering, or a closely related field.
• Certifications preferred (e.g., GISP)
• A minimum of 5 years of GIS Enterprise data management and web application development
• Experience and competency with Python, VBA, JavaScript, SQL, JSON
• Ability to work with multi-disciplinary natural resource, engineering, and modeling teams
• Strong written and oral communication skills with colleagues and clients

• Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
